Bilingual catalogue published for the exhibition on Julio Romero de Torres held in 2013. It contains two essays on the painter's oeuvre by Jaime Brihuega and Lourdes Moreno as well as biographical notes written by Fuensanta García de la Torre.
This project aimed to inspire a renewed appreciation for Julio Romero de Torres, one of the most popular Andalusian artists of the 20th century.
Different themes are explored in the introductory texts to each of the catalogue's four sections, and the volume contains full-page reproductions of all the featured works. It also includes an extensive bibliography on the Córdoba-born artist.
The catalogue authors are: Lourdes Moreno, the museum's artistic director; Jaime Brihuega, lecturer at the Complutense University of Madrid, art critic and curator of numerous exhibitions; and Fuensanta García de la Torre, former director of the Museo de Bellas Artes of Córdoba and one of the leading scholarly authorities on Romero de Torres.
