This book by Robyn Lea shows us a lesser-known side of an art legend: Jackson Pollock the cook. It contains more than 50 recipes created by Jackson Pollock, his wife and fellow artist Lee Krasner, and his mother, Stella, painting a domestic portrait of the great American artist.
As Jackson's niece, Francesca Pollock, writes in the introduction, "He painted the same way he cooked [...] Painting, like cooking, was a way of living." Pollock loved to cook and had the reputation of being a superb dinner-party host. In addition to images of each recipe, the volume is illustrated with fascinating photos of Pollock at his most private taken by the author of the book, a professional photographer.
