Escultura espeto artesanal

This ceramic sculpture faithfully captures the essence of the traditional espeto of sardines—an enduring symbol of the Mediterranean way of life. It is a unique creation by Rocío Gómez Guillén, who holds a Fine Arts degree (specialising in Sculpture) from the Complutense University of Madrid and a Higher Technician qualification in Artistic Ceramics from the San Telmo School of Art in Málaga. Her artistic vision draws inspiration from the seabed and Mediterranean culture, bringing together tradition and contemporary design in every piece.

The sculpture features three sardines, each with its own distinctive decoration, mounted on a steel rod with a metal base to ensure stability. The use of sustainable materials reflects the artist's commitment to environmentally conscious craftsmanship and responsible artistic production.

As each sculpture is entirely handmade, no two pieces are ever exactly alike. During the purchasing process, you can choose from the three unique sculptures currently available. These options change as individual pieces are sold, meaning the selection is constantly evolving. If none of the available sculptures matches your preferences, you are welcome to contact us by email to request photographs of other one-of-a-kind pieces that may be available in the museum's physical shop, subject to availability.
